Who We Are and What We Do
Compass Retirement Consulting Group is a third-party administrator (TPA) that provides client companies with retirement plan design, administration, actuarial services, and ongoing consulting services to ensure our clients’ plans are in compliance with DOL, ERISA, IRS, and other regulations. Our headquarters are in Stratham, NH, but our clients are nationwide in various industries and sizes. We are passionate about the use of technology and are always looking for more streamlined ways to perform tasks.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a talented individual with an entrepreneurial spirit who can manage full cycle plan administration for a book of business and who is motivated and open to growth and learning opportunities while working hard in a collaborative environment. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively are key attributes we look for in all our employees. Those with at least 5 years of relevant industry (working for a financial advisor, investment company, or TPA) experience along with Datair, Pension Pro, or FT Williams software knowledge are highly desirable.

What You Will Do
The Retirement Plan Administrator position will work with an assigned book of business to perform annual testing, asset valuations, calculations, and complete required filings.

Specific tasks include:

  • perform projections, tests, and calculations
  • correct errors and late deferrals as needed
  • complete excess distribution forms for client and follow-up with client and
    vendors as necessary to ensure the corrections were made
  • review plan documents and service agreements for new clients and upload
    required information into software.
  • calculate employer contributions and true-up contributions accurately and
    timely
  • upload vesting information to vendor websites to ensure accuracy
  • create plan termination packages and follow through on required steps
  • identify RMD eligible participants and mandatory force-out distributions
